About Me

First of all, thank you very much for visiting my website. I really appreciate it. I hope you enjoy browsing my website.

My name is Takayuki Yoshida. I live in Takarazuka city, a pleasant suburban district in Japan. I used to take astronomical photos mostly from my backyard. However, the light pollution has gotten worse every year. So, I decided to visit to countrysides to take better pictures. I wish I have a remote observatory somewhere like New Mexico.

I had my first contact with astronomy when my uncle showed me the planet Jupiter through a telescope. For many years, I had forgotten about that until I came back to astronomy after I moved to Takarazuka city. I bought a typical reflector 130mm in diameter because I wanted to take photographs with it. Eventually, I bought a Takahashi Telescope and CCD cameras such as SBIG ST2000XM and started to take picture with them.

My astrophotographs have been published in various Japanese magazines. Recently, my Andromeda photo was featured in the Universe Today and my IC4603 was featured in APOD. It was a great honor.

I intend to keep taking a photograph of celestial object, the beatutiful wonders in the Universe!
